Vampire Diaries’ Paul Wesley recently shared more details about his character,Stefan in a recent interview with the CW. He talked about Stefan’s love for Elena,Stefan’s sneaky speed,and the creepy vampire makeup.

First, Paul explained why his character came back for Elena. He said that Stefan is a nomad,and that he can’t really stay in one place for more than five or ten years because he doesn’t age. He returns to Mystic Falls because that’s his hometown,and he sees Elena. He thinks he’s in love with her, and now has a mission to obtain her. He said there will be more of a “reveal,” later on in the show.

Next, he explains why Stefan is able to move and sneak up on people so fast. He says that Stefan is a hunter,and feeds on animal blood,so he needs to have the ability to move really fast and sneak up on people.

Then he talked about wearing the vampire makeup. He explained the whole make up process that goes into it,and that the rest is CGI technology. Finally he talked about Stefan’s serious look that he has from being tortured in the past. However, Stefan will start to smile more and open up,as the show goes on.
