ABC’s “The Bachelor” has picked Jake Pavelka to be their new bachelor for their new season 14 show. He was a former contestant on last season’s “The Bachelorette.” He’s a 31 year-old commercial pilot,and was rejected from “The Bachelorette” last season,so he’ll be continuing a trend that’s been going on, where a previously rejected cast member gets to return for another shot.

Jake was eliminated last season,about midway through last season where Jillian Harris was the “Bachelorette.” However, he returned later on in the show to warn Jillian that contestant, Wes Hayden said he had a girlfriend,and was on the show for the wrong reasons.

The new 14th season of “The Bachelor” is set to premiere on January 4,2010 . It will be subtitled, “On the Wings of Love.”
