Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder gives more insight on his character, Damon on the show,in this recent CW interview. He talked about why Damon treats Stefan the way he does,their vampire weaknesses,strengths,and more.

First, Ian talked about what Stefan did to Damon to make him vow to make him suffer. He said at some point, Stefan decided not feed on humans,any longer,which caused a major ripple in their relationship because it caused a huge imbalance of power.

He said, Stefan hates Damon because he’s such a prick,but Damon still loves Stefan because he’s the only person that understands him. He’s pissed at Stefan,but he still loves him. He talked about what sources he borrowed from, to play the character of Damon. He said we’ll see more sides of Damon,and that he’s not a one-note evil dude.

He also said that he shares a lot of similarities with his character, Damon. Next, he talked about how Damon can control fog,and that he’s been perfecting it over a century.

He talked about how their vampire characters don’t share the same weaknesses as vampires, on other shows. They can eat garlic and drink holy water. They also have special rings,which allow them to walk in the daylight.

It ends,by showing some great Damon clips from the show. It also showed various clips throughout the interview.
