Mika and Canaan get eliminated from “Amazing Race” 15 episode 6 due to Mika getting overwelhmed with fear during the final waterfall challenge.The show started off with a brief recap of what happened last week when Lance and Keri got eliminated in Dubai.
Next, the teams got a special locked briefcase and had travel to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yaught Club and get on a raft and row it to a yaught to get a special watch. The time on it possessed the special combination to open their locked briefcase,which possessed their next clue.
For the next challenge,some of the teams picked to go assemble hookah’s,and some of them picked to go and whey the exchange rate of gold,in which they had to put the correct amount of it on a scale, until they reached the correct amount.
The teams really had trouble with both of the challenges up to this point. The Hookah’s were at least doable,but the gold exchange rate kept changing so quickly that it was almost impossible to complete.
Brian and Erika had to detour from the gold challenge,and go assemble the Hookah’s instead. This is really where the tide started to change for some of the teams.
Next, the teams had to slide down a huge water slide to get their next clue. After that,they reached their next pit stop. Meghan and Cheyne were the first team to arrive,and won their own personal water craft for making it first. Maria and Tiffany arrived 2nd, Sam and Dan arrived 3rd, Brian and Erica arrived 4th,Gary and Matt arrived 5th,Herbert and Nathaniel arrived 6th,Mika and Canaan arrived last.
Mika got surprisingly overwhelmed with fear when she had to go down the huge water slide,and let the Globe Trotters catch up to them and pass them.She ultimately could never go down the slide,and caused them the race. So Mika and Canaan became the 6th team to get eliminated in “Amazing Race” 15 episode 6.
However, in the end, Canaan was very understanding that Mika got crippled by fear,but man that had to really feel sucky for him.

Mika’s fear was very painful to watch. I felt for her. But the utter disregard for her feelings and the lack of compassion shown by the Globetrotters was appalling. I realize that this is a competition but… I surely hope that what goes around comes around for these two losers.
I agree. I mean, it was for a million dollars and everything, but the Globetrotters didn’t have to make the comments that they did to Mika. They should have just stood back and kept silent until the two minutes were up.
Also, I felt that Canaan should have been a little more relaxed when he and Mika were up there and try to let her regain her composure rather than try to pressure her into going down. It seemed like there were several times when she wanting to go down, but then Canaan interfered and said something to make her nervous.

This is a game, a competition and everyone knows about it before they sign up. Anybody who has watched this show during any of the 14 previous races knows the wacky stuff that the teams have to perform. No the Globetrotters did nothing wrong. If anything to most people it would have been reverse psychology.
Mika acted like your typical spolied SOuthern girl who daddy did everything for and never had to do anything she didn’t want in her life.
Not only that but she was idiot. Not knowing who Jackie Kennedy or “do Muslims tell time the same way “, when looking at a Rolex ?
Canaan should have been supportive. “I know you can do this. I’m confident in you. I’ll meet you down below.” Instead he tries to throw her down the chute? STUPID! No wonder she didn’t go down. The Globetrotters talk was dumb in that it could have toughened her up. They should have shut up and the results would be the same.
Flight Time & Big Easy gave the Harlem Globetrotters a bad name. i no longer have any respect for the Harlem Globetrotters. Boo to them!!!

Anyone who thinks the ‘Trotters were wrong have apparently not been in any sports/brink of elimination scenario. All they did was to get in her head. This happens all the time: Football kickers get “iced” by having opposing teams call a time out. The same goes in basketball when you have free throws to tie/win the game with no time.. etc. Come’on! it’s called delivering under pressure. Mika did not have the goods/right stuff. Period.
The ‘Trotters were a slide away from being SENT HOME! Of course they were gonna plant seeds of doubt in her head. And like someone said, why blame them when good ‘Ol BF tried to throw her down there.
This was a lose lose for Canaan. She would never have come down, had he gone 1st (though that might have made for great TV – him waiting and thinking his lil cute blonde girl is coming, and instead 6ft something black man arrives!!!LOL), and she was not trying to hear his sense of urgency – even with the ‘Trotters in sight knowing this was do or fly (home). I’d love to hear a follow up after that. I know what Canaan said on camera, but man… chances @ $1M don’t come around like that. Dealbreaker???!?! LOL.

What Canaan did to Mica was ABUSE, pure and simple. It astounds me that most of the people on this comment board point to Mica as costing them the race, or that the Globtrotters are to blame. At the end of the show Canaan “forgives” Mica. Nowhere does he see his behavior for what it was, but in fact appears to see himself as the understanding, mr. nice guy (better aligned undoubtedly with the Christian image he has of himself). This was truly awful to watch. The fact is that what he did on top of that slide was enough to get him tossed in jail for domestic assault and battery — maybe not in Dubai, but certainly in this country. What I find disheartening is that we obviously need laws for this, because (if the comments on this board is any indication) it is not plainly obviously to many when a person has treated another with cruelty and disrespect.
Abuse? no respect for the GT’s? Dump the guy? it’s a freaking RACE and she comes to the table scared of WATER… WTF!?!@!? She slipped into 7yr old girl mode and had a wimped out something chronic. Add to the fact she said some of the most retarded crap ever i bet her bf was wishing like hell he’d applied with one of his close friends instead of a emotional flake like her.
Well, clearly Mica is a LOSER!!! She should have know how the race to be like when signing up, c’mon, afraid of water slide~ what an ass!! Yet she still has the mood of splashing the water when GT were in sight. Gosh, Canaan should dump this asshole right after the camera shooting of TAR15, to conclude, she’s a loser!

Hmmm…let me figure this out, teams sign up for a show in the 15th season involving stunts, etc…what are the chances that the show would run the risk of being sued by endangering someone….with that being said, to knock the Globetrotters is ridiculous…they show no FEAR in going down the slide. Instead of enabling peoples fears, the intent is show people how to overcome them. No one is perfect but I would have apprehension about sharing my life with someone who is unable to face their fears let alone with me by there side to support them.
