Jay-Z comments back to Beanie Sigel dissing him in “Average Cat,” according to MTV News. They report that Jay-Z did a press conference in Toronto this past Friday, and journalist asked him for what his response was, to Beanie Sigel’s diss on him in his new song, “What You Talkin’ About (Average Cat).”
Beanie apparently made the diss because he feels his album wasn’t promoted good enough by Jay-Z. Jay-Z responded by saying, “He has a lot to complain about, not me. Well, Beanie Sigel, at the time, and you can look it up if you like, just to be honest , was driving two Bentleys. I don’t know how; it’s impossible to drive two cars at one time.
With his momma in the sticks and selling 800,000 records, I don’t know what more you can do for somebody. What people choose to do when they attain of success ,at some point you have to look in the mirror, and look at yourself. Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label, and a clothing line ,and never went platinum, ever.
I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. I don’t even know what more can you do for a person at that point. A record deal, that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line? If that’s not pushing a person, sh– .”
Beanie told 100.3 FM that he wasn’t really dissing Jay-Z,and that he felt Jay-Z took a couple of shots at Beanie in Blueprint 3. He stated, “I’m not really dissing Jay.It’s certain parts in there where my emotions,it’s an emotional record for me. When I listened to Jay’s latest album Blueprint 3, I heard a lot of shots directed towards people. I feel he gave out a lot of pairs of shoes on that album. I felt my feet was meant for a couple of them.”
