Kimberly Munley heroically stopped the Fort Hood shooter. According to all the recent reports from last night and this morning ,Kimberly Munley is being hailed as the hero cop who arrived on the scene yesterday in Fort Hood to stop the shooter who killed 13 people.
Unfortunately, she got wounded in the process,but according to recent reports,she is doing fine. Kimberly Munley responded within three minutes of the reported gunfire. She was directing traffic before she confronted the gunman.
Lieutenant General Bob Cone stated, “She happened to encounter the gunman. In an exchange of gunfire, she was wounded but managed to wound him four times. It was an amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer.”
The gunman’s name is Maj. Nidal Malik,and he was apparently a crazed Army psychiatrist. It’s reported,she was only a few feet from him when she opened fire.
Kimberly is now reported to be in stable condition at a local hospital. She talked to fellow officers on the phone last night,letting them know that she was fine. She also tweeted, “I live a good life … a hard one, but I go to sleep peacefully @ night knowing that I may have made a difference in someone’s life.”
