    Message for Rihanna:
Never GO BACK… I was involved in a battered
relationship for 15 years; have 2 children by my abuser and it never gets better. Got OUT in 2004 after fighting my abuser in court and finally won
custody of my children and was FREE from my abuser. Got involved at the same age as her and
left in my 40′s after taking classes of finding out what makes a man hit a women. First of all,
this wasn’t ever “LOVE” and the men that are abusers never believe that it’s their fault; always put the blame on the women. Most abusers are insecure and tear down STRONG women to make themselves more in control because they lack self confidence and are intimidated by strong beautiful women and can’t handle not being in control. Most ‘batterers” never believe it’s their fault and very rare will they ever believe that they were ever truly at fault and will never understand what they actually did was wrong or take full responsibility
for believing or seeing what the did was their fault or ever seek help.

GOD Bless You and remember what God says
about what true love really is:

    LOVE: is patient and kind; seeks no understanding; does not hurt; boast or brag;
    and truly loving with kindness; and unselfish;
and honest and true; and pure and is not perfect; but understands and tries to be free
    from jealous

Be with someone who sees your beauty inside and out and really appreciates and respect you to bring out the best in you that you never knew was there..

    God Bless You

  2. Michelle X says:

Domestic Violence is a cycle….it takes a strong individual to break the pattern. To under this; you must get inside the mind of a battery to fully understand why their are Abusers. I’ve taken classes and receive therapy to understand this and must women stay in abusive relationships for all the wrong reasons. First, you
must take the first step and be strong and “GET OUT” to break the cycle and seek help.
First remember that “Domestic Violence” Section Code 3044 is a “CRIME” and is a very serious
matter and should “NOT” be taken lightly. So many women “DIE” at the hand of violence everyday. Please be strong and don’t be a victim, seek help and GET OUT to never return to
    your battery.

Rihanna be strong and don’t go back because your life depends on it!

    God Bless U

  3. cha209 says:

im sorry i think she pervoked him to put his hands on her.Them island woman are something else! they can make any man, woman want to fuck them up!

  4. cha209 says:

dont get me wrong,i don’t beleive in domestic voilence but i do beleive that if u swing on a man then be ready to what your hand put out! I just dont think she is completely innocent!

  5. la45 says:

Cha209 you are clearly uneducated and ignorant when it comes to serious issues like this. You think she provoked him to put his hands on her. No matter how bad of a fight anyone has no women deserves to get hit. Your quote: “Them island woman are something else.” So not only are you uneducated but your also prejudice. Making assumptions on island women. I actually feel bad for you and your attitude and hope that one day this doesn’t kick you in your own ass.

  6. So Sad says:

Seriously, i agree la45, to group one group of people together is ignorance. And craziness knows no color or ethnicity. So stop being ignorant and learn that wrong is wrong, regardless of who you are or where you are from. If that’s the case, looking at the facts are all American men domestic abusers? Oh, i thought so. Listen to yourself before you speak.

Chris Brown beat her, bottom line, and if she did something to provoke it who cares, he’s a man and she’s a woman, and any MAN could use something other than his strength to restrain a woman and get a point across.

    LEARN SOMETHING.

  7. WENDY says:

I THINK IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW MUCH SOMEONE PROVOKES YOU IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO PUT YOUR HANDS ON THEM. WOMEN OR MAN! I HAVE A FRIEND WHO’S MOTHER WAS A VICTIM FOR OVER 20 YRS. SHE WAS MURDERED BY HER ABUSER AND THEN HE KILLED HIMSELF.HE WAS ALSO IN LAW ENFORCMENT . SOOO THAT TELLS YOU A LIL ABOUT THE SYSTEM….YOU AS A PERSON HAVE TO GET OUT AND REALIZE YOU ARE WORTH MORE AND DON’T DESEREVE TO BE ABUSED…IT WAS TOO LATE FOR MY FRIENDS MOM..SHE GOT OUT BUT HE WORLDN’T LET HER GO..SOO IF HE COULDN’T HAVE HER NO ONE ELSE COULD EITHER.

  8. Anonymous says:

i’ve been around both of them, and the is not telling the truth.

  9. JP says:

I think she definitely did something, physically, to provoke him, but he is a weak person to think that striking her back was the answer.
Unless a woman is gouging your eyes out or has a weapon you shouldn’t resort to violence with her. Stopping the car and walking out would of been the most sensible thing to do.
I’m sure Chris Brown didn’t mean to do any of it, but unfortunately he WILL do it again. It is something he does not do from habit, but from instinct. His back was pressed against the wall, he had no where to go, and she was proabably verbally (and probably physically) attacking him so he lashed out. Accidental or not, this is what he does when he is cornered.
Then again, maybe because there is so much pressure on him since he is in the spotlight (and sadly will stay in it, because he probably only lost 5 percent of his fans from this incident) he will learn self control quicker than the average man and this will be his last altercation.

  10. boobutt says:

i am a big fan of chris and at first after all this i hated rihanna but now that i have learned more and heard from her i feel very bad for her and i respect her feelings and wish the both of them very well and hope she doesn’t go back.

  11. boobutt says:

i still love my baby chris though! thats my future husband if he can get in control

  12. JP says:

Women like boobutt are precisely what I’m talking about. She said she was mad at Rhianna. What sensible reason could one be mad at her for? Ignorance. Boobutt is an embarrassment to the gender.

  13. Anonymous says:

speaking from personal experience reading about all you people saying she provoked him and she mustve dont something it really is sickening. unless you have been in the situation you really have no idea how this transpires. its not just a physical assault, its the emotional battery and the constant tearing down of the woman in this relationship. of course this was NOT the first incident. for him to put his hands on her like that shows that he felt ok to do it. sort of comforatable to hit her like that, showing hes experienced as is she in this situation. i feel for rihanna like nothing else, it is bad enough to have to deal with a man treating you like you are worth nothing, let alone having the ENTIRE world know your vulnerability and situation. she is a strong woman and this has been a very valuabl experience in her life. it takes real strength and character to leave a situation like this and then talk about it on television. kudos to you rihanna and eff all the haters who have no life experience and really know nothing at all.

  14. Sekemahia23 says:

IT IS VERY DISTURBING TO HEAR PEOPLE TALKING, AND TO READ COMMENTS ABOUT RIHANNA DOING SOMETHING TO DESERVE THIS. ARE YOU PEOPLE FOR REAL? LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU, YOUR MOTHER, YOUR SISTER, AND SEE IF YOU WOULD HAVE THE SAME REACTION? IF IT WERE JAY-Z WHO HAD WHIPPED BEYONCE WOULD YOU HAVE THE SAME COMMENT, REACTION TOO?

IT’S A SHAME TO SEE THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE SUPPORTING CHRIS BROWN FOR BATTERING A WOMAN, ALMOST TO DEATH. I SAW ON TV WHERE HE WAS IN MANHATTAN AND ONLY ONE WOMAN IN THE CROWD WAS BOLD ENOUGH TO CONDEMN HIM FOR WHAT HE DID. THE REST OF THE CROWD WAS TRYING TO SHUT HER UP.

IT’S A SHAME TO SEE HOW THE INDUSTRY HAS EVEN EMBRACED BROWN, EVEN ALLOWING HIM TO MAKE MORE MUSIC. SHAME ALSO ON THE JUSTICE SYSTEM FOR NOT SENDING HIS ASS TO JAIL, WHERE HE BELONGS. I GUESS IF HE HAD KILLED HER THAT NIGHT MAYBE HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN OFF TOO. CELEBRITY OR NOT HE SHOULD GET THE SAME TREATMENT.

THE ONLY PART OF THE INTERVIEW I DID NOT LIKE WAS WHEN RIHANNA WAS ASKED IF SHE WOULD GO BACK TO CHRIS BROWN, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 1000% HELL NO!!! SHE SAID ONLY GOD KNOWS HER FUTURE, WELL GOD IS NOT DUMB TO SEND YOU BACK TO SOMEONE WHO ALMOST KILLED YOU. THAT IS NOT LOVE, IT IS OBSESSION!!

  15. "ISLAND WOMAN" says:

    TO “cha209″

FIRST I SUGGEST YOU FIND A DICTIONARY AND LEARN TO SPELL THE WORD “PROVOKED” IT’S NOT “PERVOKED”

YOU HAVE CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED HOW IGNORANT AND RACIST YOU ARE TO MAKE SUCH A COMMENT ABOUT “ISLAND WOMEN.” YOU ARE THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE BAD APPLES IN THIS COUNTRY WHO ARE PROMOTING INEQUALITY AND RACISM. YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE FROM THE ISLANDS SO I SUGGEST YOU SHUT UP.

ANY FORM OF ABUSE IS WRONG WHETHER THE RECIPIENT IS A MAN OR A WOMAN, YOUR COLOR, RACE, AGE, GENDER DOES NOT MATTER. “EVIL IS EVIL”

    TO “boobutt”

IF CHRIS BROWN WERE TO BE YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE LIVED TO ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, HE WOULD HAVE BEATEN YOU TO DEATH.

WOMEN LIKE YOU NEED TO STOP BEING SO OBSESSED WITH THESE ABUSERS SO CALLED LOOKS AND STATUS, THAT YOU FAIL TO SEE THE EVIL IN THEM.

LOVE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ABUSE, IT’S ALL OBSESSION. THE ONLY WAY A WOMAN CAN PREVENT HERSELF FROM BEING ABUSED IS TO GET AWAY FROM HER ABUSER AND STAY AWAY, BECAUSE HE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL HE TAKES HER LIFE.

TO “cha209″, “boobutt”, AND THE REST WHO THINKS IT’S RIHANNA’S FAULT YOU NEED TO “EMANCIPATE YOURSELF FROM MENTAL SLAVERY” AS BOB MARLEY SAID, BECAUSE YOUR COMMENTS PROVE THAT YOUR MINDS ARE STILL ENSLAVED.

    GO

  16. polo says:

fuck rihanna and i thing that chris brown is not wrong go chris brown

  17. Melissa & Drea says:

WE STILL LOVE CHRIS BROWN!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
    YAH DIGG?

  18. Melissa & Dre says:

Well,we ALWAYS will love chris, rhianna yes she will continue doing her but i think everyone should back offf chris brown yahhh, know.EVERYONE makes mistakes and EVERYONE dessreves that REAl second chance.

  19. Zee says:

I am saddened that people are saying that Rhianna may have provoked the attack, even if she did Chris took it too far.

And I am not even mentioning other comments which are so foolish they don’t deserve a response.

Chris is young, they are both young and he made a mistake, I believe that due to the fact that he is young, that he can change, mature and become a better person and I wish him and Rhianna well in all their future endeavours.

I think its a shame that more air time was not spent talking about how to get out of abusive relationships and what support groups, centres etc are available for women who find themselves in the same situation. Even a link to a website would have been nice.

But as I said earlier I wish them both the best and I hope they are both able to use this incident to improve their own lives and those of others.

  20. Kristina says:

Okay well first off i personaly have never been in a abusive realtionship. But i think everyone is able to have an opinion. Okay well i think that chris brown was very wrong for what he did, and that people are right men shouldnt but there hands on women, because they just dont understand how much stronger they are then women. And with the whole thing with people getting mad cause everyone is saying that she must have provoked him, for him to react like that is understand able because people have to understand that its hard to believe that she didnt do anything. But im not saying that their right, its just it does take two to have conflict and even if one started it, the other continues with it and then its just a big fire building up. But anyways continuting with the whole story, i personally do feel for rihanna very much, because she didnt ask for any of this to happen but im sure neither did chris. I just wish we all knew what happen excatly like i mean detail to detail, becasue everyone dont forget that we only kno the womens side and not saying that she lied but from personaly experience when we get into fights we dont remember what exactly happens and how it all started. because it just goes so fast its like did that really happen. But basically i feel that chris shouldn’t have put his hand on rihanna, but i also think that he is human and not saying this is an excuse but he has feelings and that maybe while all of that was happing he just felt he had to defend him self. who knows what was going on in his head. but i think the best thing to do is for them two to forgive and learn from this. And chris i love you as an artist and i believe you arent your stepfather but do know this, and im sure you didnt plan for that night to go down like that but, just try in the future to walk away from doning something that you will regret in the end. Also rihanna im sorry for what happen and i hope you never go through that again. Well that’s all I have to say.

p.S. Anyone have a comment to say about what i said feel free to comment……

  21. RAHNEHSA says:

this is stupid she had no right to get in his business and try to look at his phone it aint her business. She could have dropped it and nothin would have happend. Plus she did not have to put pictures out like that to meke him seem like a bad person she stupid for that that just makes her look stupid. she should have known that if it happend to her mom drop it and leave it alone…………….

  22. Dylan says:

Chris Brown can go suck a giant dick.
I’m sick and tired of all this B.S. with people saying how Rihanna must’ve done something to provoke that little bitch. You NEVER hit a woman, that’s the first thing you mother teaches you. She can freaking stab you with a knife, but you can’t raise your hand to her. Jesus, this freak needs to learn how to act.

  23. claudene says:

Some of you talking as if you yourself are getting ur ass wup, rahnehsa, did your man told you to say that or he will wup that ass? For a female, you are very stupid. Most female are getting abused and if you are, then you should get help. for those who are talking about ISLAND GIRL, you should learn something. Like how we islander better not see you around talking that shit. Big up to all Islanders. Puerto Rican, Bajian, Trini, Yardie,Dominican, ALL Islanders BIg Up
    Ri Ri you go girl.

  24. Leilani says:

    Diane Sawyer:

This is a very educational video that demonstrated a young woman’s strength and courage to leave an abusive relationship. I was in one too, so everything Rihanna said in the interview resonated in my soul. Thank you for this. Although I appreciate your attempts to give people freedom to express themselves (comments published above), I would hope your editing crew would eliminate some of these offensive comments that are obviously racist/ignorant. They clutter visions of those women who will need to hear these messages of domestic violence or abusive relationships. Thank you again.
