
Millions of Maclaren strollers get recalled for cutting kids’ fingers off. Various news sources are reporting that Maclaren, which is an England-based stroller company, is recalling about one million strollers that were sold in the United States between 1999 and 2009. This comes after 12 reports arose of children’s fingertips being cut off by the side hinge mechanism .
Maclaren stated, A side hinge mechanism poses a hazard to children’s fingers when the umbrella stroller is being opened or closed.
USA Today reported that the following models are being recalled : Volo, Triumph, Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, Techno XLR, Twin Triumph, Twin Techno and Easy Traveller models.
