New Mexico Soccer Player Elizabeth Lambert Gets Suspended For Fighting
New Mexico soccer player, Elizabeth Lambert gets suspended for fighting. The crazy,wild, New Mexico soccer player, Elizabeth Lambert has reportedly gotten suspended for her unacceptable actions in last Thursday’s game against BYU where she beat the living crap out of a couple of BYU players.
NBC’s “Today Show” did their own exclusive coverage (below) of it this morning,showing the disturbing clips from the game where she pulled one girl’s ponytail,and yanked her to the ground.
Then she punched another girl twice,while going for the ball.She elbowed one girl in the back. She only got carded once during the game,and originally there was no punishment for her actions.
However, after the New Mexico coach reviewed the violent video, Elizabeth Lambert got suspended from the soccer team, indefinitely.
In the video (below), they report that Elizabeth Lambert does apologize for what she did. She stated, “I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept any punishment felt necessary.”
The video also features interviews with other up and coming female soccer players who were just appalled at what she did. It also shows the violent footage from the game.

What a bitch! She ruins the sport for everyone. It’s a game whore!!!
Elizabeth Lambert should be suspended from College Soccer for good, not just a few games. The kind of hate that she displayed during that game is unbelieveable. I can’t image the kind of arrogance she must have to think she can “act out” like that… that is the kind of behavior I punish a toddler for. She is an adult woman and should have more control over her actions… I would call her a lose cannon and that isn’t the kind of behavior her school should support.
If any of you watch the whole video, and pay better attention, Lambert is elbowed before she throws a punch, and before she grabs the girls hair, the girl grabbed Lamberts shorts and pulled them up her crotch. How do you decide which is worse, an elbow or a fist, a wedgie, or a punch! its an eye for an eye here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She needs to spend 5 days in jail.
She was provoked elbowed in the sternum first & that hurts so she punched the girl back Justified #1 The second one you cant see but the girl in white grabs Elizabeth’s shorts and gives her a front Wedgie so she put her down Justified #2 “the name banner is blocking it” on the video and as far as that cow “Mary Mathews” saying ” I cant believe their coaches let them play like that WTF do you think they are telling them “Hey go pull her hair next time” Its the kid not the coach dumb ass. The coaches cant control every action a kid has smarten up you stupid crack.
Nice try but paybacks are not an acceptable answer. The bad part is the Ref or linesmen should have been taking care of this. The hair pulling part should have gotten her at least a red card. My experience is that it is that you almost never see a player tossed from a game because the ref’s are afraid of getting a bad name. That intern means a bad report and loss of pay if they are not allowed to ref games. Money rules. She deserve to be suspended for at least a full season.
OK folks ….now let’s all get in line and make excuses.

She should be banned — and if the coach had to be openly challenged in order to promote the consequences , he/she should also be banned.

i know they were losing, but gaw i didnt even act like that when i was like 6 and played soccer.
