New Orleans Hornets Fire Head Coach Byron Scott

New Orleans Hornets fire head coach Byron Scott,according to the LA Times. The Hornets fired him earlier today,and replaced him with the general manager, Jeff Bower.
They report that the owner George Shinn says that the move will give them the best opportunity to reach their goals this season.
The Hornets made former New Orleans head coach, Tim Floyd one of Jeff Bower’s top assistants. Byron Scott became head coach for the Hornets back in 2003.
He made NBA coach of the year in 2008 when the Hornets finished 56-26. He was in the last year of his contract.
