Michelle Wie finally takes home her first LPGA title at Lorena Ochoa Invitational. The New York Times reports that Michelle Wie scored a 3-under-par 69 to win the Lorena Ochoa Invitational,and take home her first ever L.P.G.A title.
Michelle Wie, now 20 yrs old, finished the tournament by hitting a greenside bunker shot to 6 inches on the 18th hole before tapping it in for a birdie. After she finished the shot, she looked to the sky and let out a huge sigh of relief.
After the tournament, Michelle stated, “It’s definitely off by my back. I think that hopefully life will be a lot better, but I still have a lot of work to do.”
