Adam Lambert’s freaky American Music Award act drew lots of complaints. Season 8 “American Idol” runner up did a crazy, provocative routine at the 2009 American Music awards the other night.

He did things like put a lady’s head in his crotch to simulate oral sex,grabbed his male keyboard player and french kissed the hell out of him,and gestured to the audience with his middle finger.

Now,according to Reuters, his performance has received about 1,500 complaints. They report that Adam said he wasn’t trying to piss people off. He stated, his goal was “not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom”.

ABC apparently cut most of the controversial parts out from the West Coast broadcast. However it had already aired on the East and Central Coast.

The producers of the show said, they were not aware that Adam was going to do all that. They stated, “We did not expect the impromptu moments.”

Adam said that if it had been a woman doing the same thing,no one would have a problem with it ,and that most of the sexual energy was “in the moment.” He also stated, “Adrenaline is a crazy, crazy, crazy feeling. Some of the things I love most about performing is when you’re up there and all of the sudden you just have these feelings, this rush that comes over you.”
