Chris Brown’s scheduled GMA appearance angers Adam Lambert supporters. According to the New York Post, ABC booked Chris Brown (who beat up Rihanna), for an interview and a performance on “Good Morning America” after they canceled Adam Lambert’s appearance. He is supposed to do a taped “tell all” interview with Robin Roberts, along with a performance of songs from his new album.
However, they report that outraged feminists and gay activists are now wondering why they would bring a girlfriend beater onto the show, and cancel Adam Lambert who has broken no laws, and is only guilty of giving an “over the top” performance at the 2009 American Music Awards.
ABC says they didn’t cancel Adam Lambert over his performance necessarily, but because he proved himself to be unpredictable on live TV. ABC also stated, “Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage. It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.”
Chris Brown’s ABC “Good Morning America” appearance is scheduled to air in about two weeks.

I watch the entire AMA program. The performances by most of them were over the top and either violent or sexual. To point fingers at one performer and not the others is discrimination. I didn’t like all of Adam’s performance, but I won’t let one time make a lasting impression. To think that ABC and CBS can discriminate this way is an insult to all of America. Having someone convicted of a crime replace Adam is not only an insult to Adam Lambert, but to all women and children that have been abused. They couldn’t just turn off the TV and walk away from that.
Next time interview a child molester!
I was particularly shocked to hear about the part of the interview with Chris Brown when he became angered, then annoyed, then enraged by a question by Diane Sawyer about why he beat Rihanna. I hear Brown slapped Sawyer across the face, grabbed her by the hair and slapped her face into the coffee table repeatedly as he called her a skanky ho. I wish I could have seen it for myself, but I was watching Adam Lambert on The Early Show, so I had to rely on what a friend told me. Loved Adam’s performance on the AMA! Go Adam!
