MTV To Stream Special James Cameron ‘Avatar’ Live Movie Event

MTV to stream special James Cameron ‘Avatar’ live movie event. MTV is reporting that they will partner with Facebook to present a special James Cameron “Avatar Live: An MTV News/Facebook Forum.” They report that in this special live show, viewers will get to interact with James Cameron and two of the main stars from the film, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. They will also reveal more exclusive footage from the movie.
It’s going to be hosted by MTV Movies managing editor Josh Horowitz,and viewers will get to ask the director and actors questions about the movie. The event will last for about 30 minutes. It’s set to start at 3pm Eastern Time this Thursday December 3.
In mid-December, MTV is also going to air a “Behind the Screen” movie series,which will include interviews with the “Avatar” movie stars and more clips from the film.
John Shea of MTV stated, “We are thrilled to launch this unique partnership with 20th Century Fox and bring exclusive ‘Avatar’ programming to the MTV audience in new and exciting ways. Additionally, mashing the dynamic reporting of the MTV News team together with the Facebook platform allows us to connect fans directly to the film’s talent in a first of its kind live event, and one we hope to replicate with future films.”
James Cameron’s “Avatar” movie hits theaters on December 18.
