Nicole Richie to star in new ABC TV show. According to Variety, Nicole Richie is going to be starring in a new ABC half hour sitcom, which is currently in development. The script is being produced by Sony Pictures TV. Nicole Richie is going to be playing a professional woman that has complicated family relationships and is struggling to figure out what role she’s going to take as her life and her family evolve.

Daisy Gardner from “Californication” will write the comedy. Warren Bell and Jamie Tarses will executive produce the show. Nicole Richie came up with the initial idea for the show,so she will get a producing credit,along with being the star of the show. Michael Baum of Impression Entertainment will also be a producer for the show.

Nicole Richie is the daughter of singer, Lionel Richie and broke into the television scene when she appeared with Paris Hilton on one of Fox’s past reality shows, “The Simple Life.”
