Nicolas Cage gets magical in first ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ movie trailer. Walt Disney Pictures has released it’s first look movie trailer (below) for their new sci-fi,adventure,comedy flick, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” It features a very magical Nicolas Cage. It also stars : Jay Baruchel, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer, Monica Bellucci, and Toby Kebbell.

The creators of the successful “National Treasure” movies, Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub have teamed up to bring “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” movie. It revolves around a character named Balthazar Blake (Nicholas Cage) who is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan. He’s trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (alfred Molina).

However, Balthazar is unable to do it alone,so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel). Jay is a pretty average,but demonstrates some hidden potential as a reluctant protege. Blake decides to give him a crash course in the art and science of magic.

From there, these two unlikely partners successfully team up to stop the forces of darkness. Dave will need to use all the courage he can muster up in his effort to help save the city,survive his training,and get a girl while on his path to becoming “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”

“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” hits theaters on July 16,2010.
