Kristen Stewart makes rock debut in ‘The Runaways’ movie teaser trailer. Apparition Studios has just released a new teaser trailer (below) for “The Runaways” movie, which features “Twilight Saga” movie stars, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. This time, they’re rockin it out as band members of the famous 70′s girl rock group, “The Runaways.” It also stars: Michael Shannon, Scout Taylor-Compton, Stella Maeve, Alessandra Torresani, Hannah Marks,and Brett Cullen.

“The Runaways” revolves around the hugely influential all-girl band, “The Runaways.” they were the first successful all-girl rock band,which included: guitarists Joan Jett and Lita Ford, drummer Sandy West, singer-keyboardist Cherie Currie, and bassist Jackie Fox.

The band was formed in late 1975 by impresario Kim Fowley. She thought that a novelty act of teenage girls performing in leather and lace would be easy to sell. However, they ended up proving to be very serious and influential musicians. They lasted for about 4 years,and then management and money issues broke them apart.

The film will mostly follow Kristen Stewart’s character, Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning’s character, Cherie Currie.

“The Runaways” movie hits theaters on March 19,2010.
