‘Balloon Boy’ Hoax Parents Get Jail Time For The Incident

‘Balloon Boy’ hoax parents get jail time for the incident. According to TMZ, the parents behind the crazy “Balloon Boy” hoax stunt are getting jail time for the event that had all of America glued to the TV screen because they thought a little boy was inside an experimental balloon that accidentally got away.
They report that the mother, Mayumi Heene has been sentenced to 20 days in jail for her role. She’ll serve it after her husband, Richard Heene complete his time. He is scheduled to serve 90 days in jail for his role in the incident. However, the judge has allowed him to serve 60 of the 90 days on a work release program, which allows him to seek work as a construction contractor while doing his time.
Richard Heene was also ordered to 4 years probation, and the judge imposed a condition that forbids Richard from profiting from the “Balloon Boy” hoax during the four year period of his probation.Richard Heene is set to begin his sentence on January 11,2010.
