‘Redbox’ seeks to quickly remove ironic Brittany Murphy ‘Deadline’ movie posters. TMZ reports that the “Deadline” movie posters which give a very ironic display of the way Brittany Murphy died, are being recalled by the Redbox DVD rental company.
They say the DVD company is moving fast to remove the outdoor promotional “Deadline” movie posters of Brittany Murphy’s lifeless body in a bathtub. “Redbox” officials say that starting today, they have field teams set out to remove the “Deadline” box art from the kiosk displays.
It will reportedly take about 7-10 days to remove the image from the 19,000 kiosks,which are located throughout the country. They also say that the “Deadline” distribution company is going to change out all the DVD covers as well.
As previously reported, Brittany Murphy died Sunday morning,and was found in the shower of her home by her mother,which the “Deadline” movie poster ironically depicts. The paramedics tried numerous attempts to revive her,but she was unresponsive,and was announced dead when they arrived at the hospital.
