Brittany Murphy’s family expressed extreme devastation after her funeral. TMZ reports that moments after they laid Brittany Murphy to rest yesterday in Los Angeles, they released a statement expressing their devastation.

They stated, “There are no words that can truly express the devastation felt by Brittany’s husband, mother, and everyone who attended the intimate service. Christmas was Brittany’s favorite holiday. So the family asks that all those who wish to honor her light a candle and remember the beautiful angel that entertained, enlightened, and made the world a better place.”

Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack also delivered a eulogy which “described his loving relationship with Brittany and how she was his best friend and soul mate. ”

He also talked about how love can be given and quickly taken from you. He stated, “you never know when or where it will strike or how quickly it will be taken from you.” The family also said that a Jewish prayer was recited,along with a rendition of “Amazing Grace” as Brittany’s body was interred at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. This was truly a very,very sad turn of events.
