Adam Lambert Reveals Why He Did American Idol In New Fuse Interview

Adam Lambert reveals why he did American Idol in new Fuse interview . American Idol season 8 runner up, Adam Lambert recently did an “On the Record” interview with Fuse TV. He revealed why he did “American Idol” and more. A preview (below) of the interview has shown up online. The full interview is set to air on Jan 11 on some weird cable channel, 339 on DirectTV and EchoStar 158. If you’re like me,you probably don’t have any of these channels,so we’ll post the whole thing here, when somebody posts their recording to Youtube or something.
In this small sneak peek interview, Adam talks about why he did the “American Idol” show. He said, “Over the past few years, I started working on demos. I was writing with some people, and I was kind of starting to really love the idea of trying to get into the recording industry, and I thought to myself, how am I gonna be able to do this? And someone said to me, you know you’re not going to get signed unless you have a fanbase. It just doesn’t work that way. You have to have some sort of form of celebrity or something to like, give you leverage in that field. And so I thought,ok. It’s time to get some leverage, and so auditioning for American Idol just made sense.” The sneak peek concluded, with him saying he didn’t think he would make it as far as he did. He was like, “Really.”
In the full interview, he is also supposed to talk about topics of loneliness in middle school, coming out of the closet, and collaborating with Pink on “Whataya Want from Me.” It’s scheduled to air Monday at 8pm Eastern time on those obscure cable channels I mentioned earlier.
