Conan O’Brien Reaches Final NBC Exit Settlement And Snags $45 Million

Conan O’Brien reaches final NBC exit settlement and snags $45 million. According to TMZ, Conan O’Brien has finally worked out his exit settlement agreement with NBC,and he’ll be leaving with about $45 million dollars. They say Conan O’Brien and NBC worked out their final conflict earlier this morning and have reached a $45 million dollar settlement. It’s also better than the original agreement because the “mitigation” clause has been taken out of it,which means Conan will get his severance pay of $32.5 million even if he gets another hosting job. Originally, the mitigation clause that was in place, stated that NBC would just pay the offset amount of what he got paid from another network.
Conan’s “Tonight Show” staff will get paid $7.5 million dollars, and they think that NBC may have added another $7,000 to it at the last minute. NBC will also pay $4.5 million dollars to the executive producer. Conan has agreed that he will not take another hosting job until September of this year. Conan’s last show will be on Friday. NBC has not yet decided who will replace Conan for the period between Monday and the start of the Winter Olympics.
