Dakota Fanning & Kristen Stewart get real close in new ‘Runaways’ photo. “Twilight Saga” movie castmates, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning got real close in the photo (above) as they played their characters in their new “The Runaways” movie. Kristen Stewart plays Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning plays Cherie Currie. They’re both bandmates in the legendary all-girl rock band, “The Runaways.”

Joan Jett is the band’s rock n’ roll heart while Cherie Currie is the sex kitten. They also reportedly do a kissing scene in the film. The movie is about the true life story of the band and traces how they became legendary and paved the way for other successful all-girl rock bands. They’re guided by record producer, Kim Fowley who turns them into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. They quickly make a name for themselves with their tough-chick image and raw talent. The “Runaways” movie hits theaters on March 19,2010.
