We’re taking a break from entertainment news to alert anyone who’s driving a Toyota Prius or any of their other hybrid vehicles, to get that thing to a dealership because Toyota is recalling about 437,000 of them. The New York post is reporting that Toyota recalled yet another 437,000 hybrid cars today, which include the Prius model. Akio Toyoda who is the President of Toyota said they will face up to the facts and correct the problem. He stated, “I don’t see Toyota as an infallible company that never makes mistakes. We will face up to the facts and correct the problem, putting customers’ safety and convenience first.” This new announcement makes the count of Toyota cars that have been recalled, about a whopping 8.5 million, which include the floor mats which can trap gas pedals and faulty gas pedals that are slow to return to the idle position.
There have been about 200 complaints in both Japan and the U.S. about a delay when the brakes in the Prius were pressed in cold conditions and on some bumpy roads.
