Lightning Thief movie trailer shows cool special effects & Percy Jackson. 20th Century Fox’s new,awesome supernatural flick, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” hits theaters this weekend,and let me just say that this movie trailer (below) looks absolutely awesome. It’s jam packed with tons of cool special effects as Percy Jackson discovers he’s a demi-god with all sorts of cool powers. It stars: Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Steve Coogan, Rosario Dawson, Catherine Keener, Kevin McKidd, Joe Pantoliano, Uma Thurman,and Ray Winstone.

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” movie revolves around a high school student named Percy Jackson in the 21st century. The gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters walk out of the pages of Percy’s Greek mythology texts and into his life. They’re very unhappy because Zeus’ lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is a prime suspect. Also, Percy’s mother has mysteriously disappeared.

Percy eventually adapts his newly discovered status as a demi-god because his father is Poseidon. He gets caught between the battling titans of Mt. Olympus. He and his friends decide to go on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief and save Percy’s mother. They will also end up unraveling a mystery that’s more powerful than the gods themselves. “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” movie hits theaters this weekend on February 12.
