Tom Cruise to star in ‘Mission Impossible’ 4 with May 2011 release date. According to USA Today, legendary movie star, Tom Cruise is set to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in yet another 4th installment of the “Mission Impossible” movie franchise. It had been rumored as early as last year,but now it’s officially confirmed. USA Today says that Paramount Pictures just announced that Tom Cruise will be back in front of the camera for Mission Impossible 4,and it will be due in theaters in May of 2011.

Tom Cruise and director, J.J. Abrams had already agreed to produce a fourth movie,but they weren’t sure if Tom Cruise would star in it again. J.J. Abrams will actually produce the movie this time around,and they are going to search for a different director to shoot the new,4th installment. Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec are going to write the script,which is based on a story idea from Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams. This movie will also reunite Tom Cruise with Paramount Studios after they let him go from a long-term development deal in 2006.
