‘American Idol’ Eliminates Janelle,Ashley,Joe & Tyler In Round 1. The show kicked off with Ryan introducing the judges,and asking them a few questions about last nights show. Then all the “American Idol” contestants sang “American Boy” by Estelle. They did a pretty good job too,mostly because the song was current and upbeat. After the break, Ryan revealed that everyone was safe accept for Janelle Wheeler,so she was the first to be eliminated this season. It really sucks too because I really liked when she sung “American Boy” during Hollywood week,and she’s gorgeous too. Oh well.

After the break, Allison Iraheta performed her new song entitled “Scars.” Afterwards, Ryan talked with Allison for a little bit,and then he revealed that Ashley Rodriguez also got eliminated from “American Idol” this week. She sung a song to lead into the next break. After the break, Ryan showed a clip of Tyler singing in a bathrobe at rehearsals,and he explained why. It was pretty funny. Then Ryan revealed that Joe Muñoz was the first guy to get eliminated from American Idol this season. He sang a song to lead into the next break.

After the break,Ryan did a special Haiti segment with last years winner, Kris Allen. He sung a song entitled, “Let It Be” to lead into the final break. After the final break, Ryan revealed that Tyler Grady became the 2nd guy to get eliminated from American Idol this season. So, with that being said, Janelle Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez,Joe Munoz,and Tyler Grady got eliminated from American Idol season 9 in round 1 tonight. They showed a few clips from the eliminated contestant’s journeys and concluded with Tyler Grady singing a song.
