Singer, Katy Perry to voice Smurfette in new “Smurfs” Movie. According to Variety,superstar singer, Katy Perry is currently in talks to voice the Smurfette character in the new,upcoming “Smurfs” movie. They say pop singer, Katy Perry is in talks to portray Smurfette in the new movie. She joins other top stars who are in talks for the movie,which include: Jonathan Winters,George Lopez, and Alan Cumming. Jonathan Winters is in talks to voice Papa Smurf. Alan Cummings is talking about voicing Gutsy Smurf,and comedian George Lopez is onboard to voice Grouchy Smurf.

Also Neil Patrick Harris from CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” has signed on as the projects live-action character. Raja Gosnell will be directing the film for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures. David N. Weiss & J.David Stern,and Jay Sherick & David Ronn wrote the screenplay. Jordan Kerner is set to produce the film. The “Smurfs” cartoon originated back in 1958 by Belgian cartoonist Pierre Culliford.
