Lil Wayne finally got sent to Rikers Island jail yesterday as high profile. According to TMZ , rapstar Lil Wayne finally made his way to Rikers Island jail in New York yesterday after eluding his one year jail sentence for almost a full month. They say he arrived to the New York jail in a corrections van as a “high-profile inmate,” which means he wasn’t transported with any other prisoners. He underwent the admissions procedure at the jail,which entailed a physical & mental health exam & questionnaire.

It is still being determined whether or not Lil Wayne will be in the general population at Rikers jail, or if he will be given his own cell. They also revealed what Lil Wayne’s first prison meal was. It was noodles with beef sausage & marinara sauce, steamed greens, a mixed green salad, whole wheat bread, sliced peaches and a fruit drink or tea. Lil Wayne was sentenced to one year in prison for a “weapons possessions” charge. However, he could get out before the full year is up if he stays on good behaviour.
