American Idol eliminated Katelyn,Todrick,Alex & Lilly in round 3 tonight. Tonight, the contestants kicked off the show by performing a song entitled, “Haven’t Met You Yet.” Then Ryan revealed that the first theme for the top 12 will be “The Rolling Stones.” Next, he revealed that Katelyn Epperly got eliminated and did not make it into the top 12. Then she sang her song to lead into the break. After the break, Ryan revealed that Casey James, Tim Urban,and Lee Dewyze made it through,but that Todrick Hall didn’t make into the top 12. Then he sang a song to lead into the next break.
After the break, a couple of past American Idol contestants performed a special song to lead into the break. After the break, Ryan revealed that Crystal Bowersox,Michael Lynche,Lacey Brown,Aaron Kelly, and Andrew Garcia made it into the top 12. However, he also revealed that Alex Lambert didn’t make it into the top 12. Then Alex sang a song to lead into the final break.
After the final break, Ryan revealed that Katie Stevens made through to the top 12,and Lilly Scott got sent packin. To conclude,they showed a little video montage,which featured the four contestants that got eliminated tonight. So, Casey James,Tim Urban,Lee Dewyze,Crystal Bowersox,Michael Lynche,Lacey Brown,Aaron Kelly,Andrew Garcia,Paige Miles,Didi Benami,Siobhan Magnus, and Katie Stevens are your “American Idol” top 12 contestants for season 9.

Alex going home was just ridiculous. There is NO way he got so few votes, and he is SOOOO much better than many, who somehow stayed. There goes a huge draw for the tour.
I think he must have been in the way of the Crystal/BIG MIKE final they have in mind. Unreal. How could sweet, but not as good Aaron, Lee, who was bad last night, Andrew, who is really bad every night, and Tim, who had only ONE decent night still be there, and Alex has gone home. Only Mike, who is so cocky, but being pimped big time, and Casey are understandable. Also, Paige got a free ticket too. She was the worst by far, but I knew they would never send HER home. Katelyn was far better.
