Popstar, Jennifer Lopez to star in new ‘Overboard’ remake movie. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Lopez is in negotiations to star in a remake of a movie entitled, “Overboard.” It’s a romantic comedy. The original version of the film, starred Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The movie will be produced by Will Smith and his Overbrook partner James Lassiter for Columbia Pictures.

“Overboard” revolves around a snooty ,spoiled woman who falls off her yacht and is taken to the hospital by a local morally challenged carpenter. She eventually wakes up ,but has amnesia. He convinces her that she is his wife,making her a free housekeeper for his four boys. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage worked on the current script,along with Leslie Dixon.

Jennifer Lopez hasn’t been in a movie since 2006 in “El Cantante.” However, she will appear in another movie next month entitled, “The Back-up Plan,” which hits theaters on April 23. She will play a character named Zoe in the movie. Her new 7th studio album entitled “Love?” is due for release in April as well. She’s a busy woman.
