Popstar, Miley Cyrus to mentor & perform on ‘American Idol’ this week. According to Zap2it , popstar Miley Cyrus is set to mentor the kids on “American Idol” season 9,starting tonight,and will perform her a new song on the results show tomorrow night.

They say that FOX confirmed that Miley Cyrus will appear as a guest mentor on “American Idol,” and help the Top 11 finalists prepare for their performance for this week. This weeks theme will be “Billboard No. 1 Hits.” It’s set to air tonight March 23 on FOX. Tomorrow on the results show, Miley Cyrus will perform her new hit song entitled, “When I Look at You.” Joe Jonas and his actress girlfriend, Demi Lovato are also scheduled to show up and perform their song entitled, “Make a Wave.”

R&B star, Usher also announced that he’ll be appearing on “American Idol” next week,which coincides with the release of his new album entitled, “Raymond vs. Raymond.” One of the “American Idol” season 9 contestants Aaron Kelly recently tweeted about his experience with one of the mentors two days ago,writing, “the mentor was incredible what an honor to meet someone with so much experience.” I guess it was Miley Cyrus he was talking about,but not quite sure,since he didn’t reveal who it was.
