Miley Cyrus sang a strong ‘When I Look At You’ on American Idol last night. Popstar, Miley Cyrus took to the “American Idol” stage again last night to perform her latest song entitled, “When I Look At You,” and also displayed her ability to play the piano. The clip (below) starts out with Ryan Seacrest introducing her.

Then Miley started playing the piano,and belted out the lead verse,singing, “Everybody needs inspiration, everybody needs a song. A beautiful melody when the nights so long cause there is no guarantee that this life is easy.” She sung it with a lot of authority and passion.

When she got to the first chorus run, she really got into it,and interjected more emotion and intensity into her words. Then she got up from the piano to work the crowd. She started to work the stage a little bit,and got more theatrical with the performance,while still delivering a lot of passion to the song. As the performance continued, she started bobbing her head intensely as she got even more into the song. She ended it with a, “You appear like a dream to me,” and a huge applause from the crowd.
