‘The Losers’ Movie Gets OK Reviews From Top Movie Critics
‘The Losers’ movie gets “OK” reviews from top movie critics. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new action/thriller flick “Losers” into theaters today,and the top movie critics in the business gave it “OK” reviews. Their opinions weren’t too harsh,but they weren’t too great either,so it sorta fell somewhere in the middle,which resulted in the “just ok” category of action movies. It stars: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Holt McCallany, Oscar Jaenada, Jason Patric,and Peter Macdissi.
Wesley Morris at the Boston Globe gave it a C. He said, “Things move fast in The Losers, but nothing feels urgent.” Roger Ebert over at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a strong A- rating. He stated, it “knows what it’s doing and how to do it.”
Michael Phillips from the Chicago Tribune gave it a B-. He stated, “Director Sylvain White… doesn’t edit action scenes so much as turn each micro-beat into a trading card with a fireball in the background.”
Owen Gleiberman at “Entertainment Weekly” gave it a C+ rating. He said, it was “a pulp action rouser based on a comic-book series, but it’s derivative of many other sources .” Bill Gibron at Filmcritic.com gave it a C. He stated, it was “such a throwback mentality is refreshing. It doesn’t mean it’s wholly entertaining, however.”
