Roger Ebert over at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a C. He said, “Many of the mountain ranges, which disappear into the far distance as increasingly pale peaks, look suspiciously like landscapes painted by that guy on TV who shows you how to paint stuff like that.”

Michael Phillips from the Chicago Tribune gave it another C. He said, “More happens in Eclipse than in the previous Twilight zone, New Moon, and yet it’s duller.” Luke Y Thompson at E! online gave it a C. He said, “In director David Slade’s hands, the story plays like two movies in one, neither being particularly well-made.”

Norm Schrager at Filmcritic.com gave it a C. He stated, “The main trio of actors is to be commended for delivering the marshmallow dialogue with the right sticky-sweet flavor.” Kirk Honeycutt from the Hollywood Reporter gave it a positive B rating. He said, “The teen vampire series finally hits its stride with an entertaining mix of romance and action fantasy.”

Betsy Sharkey at the Los Angeles Times gave it a B+. She stated, “Actors breathe life into characters, and the new director keeps things moving in the new installment of the vampire-werewolf saga.”

A.O. Scott from the New York Times gave it a C+. He said, “If there is a bit more humor on display here. There is also more violence, and, true to the film’s title, a deeper intimation of darkness.”

Peter Travers from Rolling Stone gave it a C. He said, it’s “just one more walk on the mild sides.” Amy Biancolli at the San Francisco Chronicle gave it a C. She stated, “Melissa Rosenberg’s screenplay is faithful enough to Meyer’s soap-operatic inclinations, but I kind of wish she weren’t.”

Claudia Puig over at USA Today gave it a C. She said, it was “pretty much more of the same.” “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” movie is in theaters now. Get your “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” movie tickets at Fandango by Clicking Here. Get cool “Twilight Saga” stuff by Clicking Here.
