Jennifer Aniston to play Courteney Cox’s shrink on Cougar Town. According to Entertainment Weekly, it’s official that Jennifer Aniston will appear on season 2 of Cougar Town with her old “Friends” star Courteney Cox,and she’ll be playing her shrink. They say that ABC recently confirmed the news,and that Jennifer will appear on the show’s season 2 premiere episode.

Bill Lawrence who is the producer revealed that Jennifer will Play Couteney’s shrink named Bonnie. He stated, “She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie. Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”

This will be the 2nd time that the two have worked together on a show since “Friends” went off the air. They appeared in an episode of Courteney Cox’s FX dramedy titled, “Dirt.” Bill revealed that Courteney wanted to wait until the show clicked before asking Jennifer to appear on it.

He said, “It took us a while to find the show. And once we did and once it was clicking, I think that not only did Courteney feel comfortable talking to Jen about doing it, but comfortable in how funny she thinks the show is and that Jen would like it and fit into this world really well.

It starts and ends with Courteney and Jennifer being really great friends and excited to work together again,especially doing comedy together. Every day that those two talk they have more ideas about the role. It’s definitely something they’re both involved in creatively.” “Cougar Town” season 2 is set to premiere on September 22nd.
