Howard Stern signed new Sirius XM 5 year radio contract today. According to the Los Angeles Times, radio superstar Howard Stern announced that he has indeed signed another 5 year contract deal with Sirius Satellite radio. They say Howard announced the news earlier this morning on his radio show.

The Sirius XM shares were up 20% in trading this morning. While Stern is staying on board,he might be cutting down on the number of shows he does each week. He started out doing five shows a week on Sirius. Then he cut it down to four. One analyst estimated Howard’s new contract to be $400 million over the next five years.

In related news, Howard had everybody on the show wondering what the hell he was going to do up until today. He told his crew that this five years is it,and that they should make a plan for when he decides to quit for good.
