New ‘Straw Dogs’ movie trailer shows True Blood Alexander Skarsgard & more. Screen Gems (Sony) recently released the new movie trailer (below)for their upcoming horror flick “Straw Dogs,” it features True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard playing a very bad boy with his real-life girlfriend Kate Bosworth,and more. The movie stars: James Marsden, Kate Bosworth, Alexander Skarsgard, Dominic Purcell, Laz Alonso, Willa Holland,and James Woods.

In the flick, characters David and Amy Sumner who are a Hollywood screenwriter and actress couple, return to Amy’s small hometown in the deep South to prepare the family home for sale after her father’s death.

Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old conflicts re-emerge with the locals, including Amy’s ex-boyfriend Charlie (Alexander Skarsgård).
