New X-Men First Class Movie Delivered Great Action,Special Effects & More
New X-Men First Class movie delivered great action, special effects & more. 20th Century Fox finally released their new “X-Men: First Class” movie into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was really great and fun to watch. It delivered really cool special effects, along with intense action and drama.
The movie stars : James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz, and Bill Bilner.
The flick started off revealing the origins of young Erik Lehnsherr’s (Michael Fassbender) thirst for vengeance and anger with the evil energy absorbing mutant Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon). It also revealed the young beginnings of Charles Xavier’s (James McAvoy) helpful nature with a young Raven aka Mystique.
As the movie carried on, Charles and Erik eventually meet, while trying to fulfill a common goal of stopping Shaw’s evil plans. However, Erik was in it for the vengeance. It was always about vengeance and anger for him.
Charles and Erik eventually teamed up to recruit other mutants in an effort to help them deal with their extra-ordinary abilities. However, they were forced to learn pretty quickly when Shaw sped up his plans to start a huge war with the humans.
Towards the end, everything erupted in a huge ocean battle between the young X-Men and Shaw and his band of mutants. This also ends up causing the great rift between Charles and Erik, and the beginning of Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
I thought the movie was really fun,yet interesting to watch. It contained cool scenes that included Sean Cassidy aka Banshee learning how to fly with his voice waves,Hank McCoy turning himself into Beast when trying to cure himself, Havok learning to control his crazy power, and more. It also revealed the unfortunate tragedy that caused Charles to lose his ability to walk.
They really packed everything into the film, and answered a lot of “origin” questions of how the X-Men started out. It also featured cameo appearances from Rebecca Romijn Stamos as a grown-up Mystique and Hugh Jackman as Logan. I gave the movie a solid A grade.
