Venus Williams dropped out of 2011 US Open Tennis tourny due to serious illness
According to Hollywood Life, former number 1 in the world women’s tennis player and past US Open champ Venus Williams, has pulled out of the current 2011 US Open tennis tournament due to a serious illness that she just got diagnosed with.
Yesterday, Venus released a statement,which said, “I have recently been diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome. I wish I could continue but right now I am unable to. I am thankful I finally have a diagnosis and am now focused on getting better and returning to the court soon.”
