New ‘The Dictator’ Movie Delivered Crazy Laughs And A Pretty Good Storyline
New ‘The Dictator’ movie delivered crazy laughs and a pretty good storyline. Paramount Pictures released their new Sasha Baron Cohen, comedy flick “The Dictator” in theaters this past Wednesday. I just checked it out today, and I thought it was pretty damn funny. Some of the jokes hit on corny status, but for the most part,it was funny.
They brought in that funny Anna Faris chick, which was a pretty good choice for this. The movie stars: Sacha Baron Cohen, Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox, John C. Reilly, and J.B. Smoove.
In the new flick, character Admiral General Hafez Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) is the dictator ruler of the North African Republic of Wadiya, and uses many body doubles in case someone tries to kill him. However,on his trip to America, his body doubles trick gets turned on him when one of his own men named Tamir, develops plans of his own.
Tamir apparently wants Wadiya to become a democracy,so he can make billions. So, he has Aladeen kidnapped, and replaced with a double, and has the body double declare, Wadiya is going to become a democracy. All he has to do is sign the papers. However, that was not to happen for a couple of days, giving the real Aladeen a chance to find a way to take out the double, and stop the signing.
However, that would prove to be very difficult on his own, because his kidnapper shaved off his signature beard,so no one could recognize him. Eventually, he befriends character Zoey (Anna Faris),because she owns an alternative lifestyle co-op that has catering access to the building where the fake Aladeen would be signing the democracy papers.
After working with Zoey for a while,he falls in love with her,and convinces her that he is really Aladeen, who she despises, thinking that she would accept him,but she doesn’t. She also calls off the catering gig after realizing Aladeen was just using her to get into the building.
At this point, Aladeen switched to plan B,which was a little more funny and dangerous. This led to a huge,dramatic-filled conclusion that ended with the real Aladeen, doing something he never thought he would do because of the new love he had found.
I know the plot sounds sorta cheesy, but it’s totally not. It’s funny as hell. It served up hilarious scenes that included: Zoey teaching Aladeen how to masturbate,Aladeen kicking a little brat in the butt, Aladeen smacking a rude customer in face, and more.
It delivered laughs like that throughout the film, and it was just totally hysterical. It never had a dull moment, and was very enjoyable to watch. I gave it a solid B+ grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
