MTV Teen Mom Amber Portwood sentenced to 5 years of Prison after giving up rehab. According to a new report from TMZ, MTV Teen Mom starlet Amber Portwood, recently begged the judge for prison time, instead of rehab, because it was just too hard for.
So, she definitely got what she asked for, with whopping 5 year prison sentence. So, I guess we won’t be seeing Amber for quite some time. They say, Amber asked the Indiana judge to reimpose her sentence, stemming from a December drug arrest.
Amber was in court this morning, June 5th, when the judge delivered the news. Her lawyer tried to ask leniency, but the judge was unmoved, and insisted he had no choice but to enforce the terms of Amber’s plea agreement.
The five year sentence was to be imposed if she couldn’t complete a drug rehabilitation program. Portwood gave up on the program, and asked to go to prison instead. The judge said, he would refer Amber to the Indiana Department of Corrections therapeutic community program, which is an incarceration-based treatment program. Amber will be given credit for time served in jail. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
