Vampire Diaries Season 4 bringing on new professor that knows Bonnie & more. According to a new report from TV Guide, the Vampire Diaries season 4 peeps are bringing on a new professor who has history with resident witch Bonnie Bennett,and he’ll be played by actor David Alpay.

His character is named Professor Shane,and he’ll be recurring. Shane is described as being, “an attractive and charismatic believer in the occult,and has a history with Bonnie Bennett and her family.” Shane is scheduled to show up in the 4th episode for season 4.

David Alpay’s acting resume includes appearances in The Tudors and Fairly Legal. He joins other new additions: Todd Williams, who will play a vampire hunter, Phoebe Tonkin,who plays a witch,and Grace Phipps, who may be a possible new ally for Elena. Stay tuned.
