Amazing Race 21 eliminated James LoMenzo & Mark Abbattista in episode 8 tonight. Tonight’s episode kicked off with James & Mark being told, they have to somehow retrieve their passports to be able to check in and complete this leg of the race. The only problem is, a cab drove off with all their stuff in the last episode. Also, this episode was continuing from the last episode, which did not complete last week.
Meanwhile, Abbie & Ryan and Josh & Brent worked together to complete the leg of the race. Abbie & Ryan and Josh & Brent ended up arriving in 4th and 5th place,so they got to continue on to the next leg.
Poor James & Mark came in last since they couldn’t get their passports back. However, host Phil Keoghan told them,it was a non-elimination leg so they got to continue as well if they could get new passports. It was revealed that they contacted the U.S. Embassy to get new passports issued to them, but it was looking pretty bleak that they would get them in time.
Next, the teams started the new leg of the race, and had to go to the Agricultural Academy to get their next clue. They hit a road block while there. In it, they had to calculate the time of day in 5 different cities, using very limited information that was given to them, to get their next clue.
After that, they ran into their detours. They got to pick either the “Movers,” or “Shakers” detour. In the “Movers” detour, they had to learn a Russian soldier dance ,and perform it correctly, to get their next clue. In the “Shakers” detour, they had to identify 7 different historic leaders at a dress up party, to get their next clue.
Once they successfully finished up the detours, they had to head to a park, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race. Jaymes & James arrived in first place, and won a trip for two to Costa Rica for 5 days and nights from Travelocity . Trey & Lexi arrived in 2nd place, Natalie & Nadiya arrived in 3rd place,Abbie & Ryan showed up in 4th place.
Josh & Brent arrived in 5th place, and James & Mark showed up last due to not being ever able to retrieve their passports. It was a very tough break for them, and they’re unfortunately out for good. Stay tuned. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
