Amazing Race 21 eliminated Abbie Ginsberg & Ryan Danz in episode 9 tonight.Tonight’s episode kicked off with the teams learning they had to fly to Amsterdam. Once there, they had to hit up some train station to get their first clue for this leg of the race.
Natalie & Nadiya got to do the Fast Forward challenge, which allowed them to skip all the other challenges and go straight for the pit stop. Meanwhile, Abbie & Ryan ran into bad luck ,again, with their flight to Amsterdam, causing them to fall behind. Apparently, their plan had mechanical problems, and caused a major delay. They just couldn’t catch a break.
In the Fast Forward, the teams had to eat a whole bunch of raw fish in a certain amount of time to win. Natalie & Nadiya ended up winning it and headed straight for the pit stop. Meanwhile, the other teams ran into their detours. They got to choose either the “Back In Time,” or “Organ And Grind” detour.
In the Back in time detour, they had to recreate the characters in a historical painting to get their next clue. In the “Organ And Grind” detour, they had to operate an organ and collect $30.00 in tips to get their next clue.
After the detours, the teams had to go to a museum to get their next clue. The museum offered a double u-turn option. Jaymes & James decided to u-turn Ryan & Abbie,so they would have to do both detours on top of all their other troubles. To Boot, Trey & Lexi used the 2nd u-turn on Jaymes & James,so Abbie & Ryan wouldn’t get a chance to use it on anyone else. Basically, they banded up to get rid of Abbie & Lexi because they were a strong team. I really felt bad for them. That sucks.
Meanwhile, the other teams ran into a Road Block. In it,they had to do ditch vaulting to get their next clue. After that, they headed to the pit stop for this leg of the race. Natalie & Nadiya arrived in first place due to the Fast Forward challenge, and won $5,000 each. Jaymes & James arrived in 2nd place, Trey & Lexi arrived in 3rd place,Josh & Brent arrived in 4th place, and Abbie & Ryan showed up last due to getting heavily screwed over.
