New Cinderella 2013 movie spoilers reveal possible new Cinderella actresses & more. According to a new report from Collider, Disney Pictures has a new Cinderella movie that has been in the works. Actress Cate Blanchett has been casts to play the evil stepmother,and now, they’re currently doing some screen tests for actresses that are in the running to play the lead role of Cinderella.

They include the Irish-born Saoirse Ronan (Hanna), Britain’s Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) ,and Swedish actress Alicia Vikander (A Royal Affair). It’s also reported that Universal Pictures is working on their own version of a Cinderella movie since the property is now public domain. Apparently, these fairytale movies have been doing great at the box office,so these studios want to continue to cash in on them.

No information is available for when production will begin at this time. There’s also no info on a release date. However,IMDB indicates it as a 2013 movie,so maybe sometime in 2013 unless things change. Aline Brosh McKenna and Chris Weitz are set to screenwrite the new flick. Stay tuned.
