Amazing Race 21 Josh Kilmer-Purcell & Brent Ridge won the entire thing in the finale episode tonight. Tonight’s 2-hour finale show ,kicked off with the teams learning they had to go to Barcelona Spain. Then head to the Loire Valley in France. Once there, they had to transport a bunch of crates,by car, to a huge garden to find their next clue. Then they had to find the place where Leonardo Da Vinci’s grave is located to get their next clue.
Meanwhile, Natalie & Nadiya had to do their exclusive last place “speed bump” challenge. In the challenge, they had to help some lady get dressed in an 18th century dress to continue back on with the regular race. Next, the rest of the teams ran into their detours. They got to pick between “Chow” and “Plow” detours.
In the “Chow” detour, they had to create a well-balanced meal for a bunch of dogs to get their next clue. In the “Plow” detour,they had to properly cultivate a field to get their next clue. After the detours,they had to go to a place called, Cave Des Roches. Once there,they hit up a Road Block,where they had to search for a variety of different mushrooms to get their next clue.
After the road block, they headed to the pit stop for this leg of the race. James & Jaymes arrived in first place and won new Ford Escape cars for each of them. Trey & Lexi arrived in 2nd place,Josh & Brent arrived in 3rd place,and Natalie & Nadiya showed up last,so they got eliminated at this point.
Then they quickly jumped into the final leg of the entire race for the $1 million dollar grand prize. The teams had to fly to the big apple New York City,New York to start it off. Once there, they had to locate a special sign to get their next clue.
After that, they had to do a wild Houdini escape act to get their next clue. Once they completed that wild challenge, they had to deliver pizzas to the correct location to get their next clue. After that, they hit up their final challenge, where they had to identify the different ways to say “hello” in all the different countries they visited and then match them with the correct flags.
After that challenge, they had to make their way to Gotham Hall,which was the pit stop for this leg of the race,and the underdogs ,Josh & Brent, showed up in first place to win the $1 million dollar grand prize! James & Jaymes arrived in 2nd place,and Trey & Lexi show up last for a very emotional finish. So, that’s it. We’ll see you guys for Amazing Race 22 in February 2013. Stay tuned.
