New Paranormal Activity 5 movie delivered weird thrills,crazy ending & more. Paramount Pictures released their new horror/thriller flick, “Paranormal Activity 5: The Marked Ones” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it, and thought it was pretty entertaining for the most part. It stars: Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Eddie J. Fernandez, Jorge Diaz, David Fernandez Jr., Kimberly Ables Jindra, Tonja Kahlens, and Frank Salinas.
In the new flick, the storyline picked up in June 2012 with a major party going down in Oxnard, California. From there, the film revolved around new character, Jesse, and his friends in a Latino community. The storyline was kind of slow at first. However, things quickly picked up after Jesse discovers he’s gotten a strange bite mark on his wrist. From there, he’s able to start doing amazing things like defy the laws of gravity, throw people across the room with little effort, blow up an air bed with just one breathe, and more. It was insane.
Unfortunately, things started going south for Jesse as he started not being able to control his temper and treating the people that loved him like shit. And needless to say, things finally came to a head when he started string to kill them. Jesse’s friends discovered that he was part of a planned ritual that a big witch pack had mapped out.
Once Jesse’s friends realized the witches kidnapped him, they gathered up a gun-totting posse to try and take the witches out and rescue him, leading to a huge,horror-filled conclusion that was very suspenseful, filled with death, and lots of screaming.
Again, I thought the movie was pretty entertaining, overall, despite its slow start. There were definitely some weird parts wrapped up in that conclusion that will probably never ever get explained, but I think that’s what they were gunning for, since they tend to leave all these installments on that type of note.
