New Batman Vs Superman Ben Affleck Batman & more spoilers revealed by the Director. According to a new report from Batman News, “Batman vs. Superman” movie director, Zack Snyder (left), chatted it up with the French Magazine, named Popcorn, about the new 300: Rise Of An Empire, which he produced.

But ,of course, the Batman vs Superman questions came up, and he dished new details about Ben Affleck as Batman. Then he also commented on whether or not the movie will be a direct adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns. On the Ben Affleck situation, Zack stated: “Ben brings an interesting counterweight to the performance of Henry in the role of Superman. He has the experience necessary to paint the picture of an older and more advised man than Clark Kent, who bears the scars of a seasoned vigilante while retaining the charm that Bruce Wayne deploys when present in the world.”

From there, Zack was asked the following question: Will Batman vs. Superman will be a direct adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns? Zack responded with: “No. But the comic book will influence the history of Batman vs. Superman, on which the writer David S. Goyer and myself will work.”

Lastly, they report that Zack “reiterated that Batman vs. Superman is its own original story but the relationship between between Batman and Superman will be influenced by Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns.” The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on May 6th, 2016.
