Universal Pictures released their new action/thriller flick, “Jurassic World,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out and thought it was very entertaining, delivering a ton of suspense and action galore. It stars: Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Chris Pratt, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus and Andy Buckley.
In the new flick, the plotline is set 22 years after the Isla Nublar incident, and Jurassic World is a new, fully functional dinosaur theme park located on the island. Brothers ,Zach and Gray Mitchell, go to visit their aunt Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), who is the park’s operations manager. However, when they get there, Claire’s too busy for them, so she hands them off to her assistant , Zara, promising she’ll spend time with them later on.
From there, Claire gets a first look at the new genetically modified dinosaur they’ve created in an effort to draw more people and business to the theme park. Next, we get our first look at character, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), who is a Velociraptor expert and trainer. He’s is spotted, getting quite adept at communicating and building relationships with the raptors.
Claire seeks him out to see if he can look for vulnerabilities in the Indominus enclosure. When Owen goes with her to check out the facility, all hell starts to break loose as the Indominus Rex ends up tricking them into thinking he escaped only to attack them once they’re lured inside to check out the enclosure area.
After the attack, the Indominus Rex is on the loose and slowly making its way to the main part of the park where all the people are. Extreme measures, including bringing in the military, are set in motion in effort to destroy the creature before it can reach the mainland.
Unfortunately, none of those tactics worked, so finally Owen had to bust out the Velociraptors to go hunt down the Indominus Rex. However, that turns bad when they find out that Indominus Rex is actually part raptor ,itself, and replaces Owen as their new Alpha.
This all led up to a huge, suspenseful and action-filled conclusion where Owen is able win back the raptors’ loyalty, and Claire assists with a stored away secret weapon to help the raptors take out the wicked Indominus Rex.
Again, I enjoyed watching every minute of this movie. No parts of it were boring. I thought Chris Pratt did a great job as Owen and bringing some comic relief at certain moments. I gave the movie an excellent A grade. Stay tuned. Also, get your favorite Movie stuff, and more by Clicking Here.
